I SPY
Why not play I Spy
with your children. It’s a fun game to play AND it will help them build their vocabulary and develop their
English speaking and listening skills!
How to play:
Choose the 1st spy.
The 1st ‘spy’ chooses
something they can see, for example the sun.
They provide the first
clue
e.g. “I spy
something that starts with the letter S.”
The other players
try and guess the answer.
The ‘spy’ can provide
more clues if necessary.
“It is YELLOW, it is a CIRCLE
shape.”
The player who
guesses correctly becomes the next spy.

Counting numbers from 1-20
In Term 2, we will be learning numbers from 1-20 and counting them in order.

Each Peach Pear Plum
The children have been busy learning the words and actions to the text, and we've also been talking about some of the characters. There are several characters in the text. Can you remember who they are?

The children enjoyed making their own binoculars and using them to play 'I Spy' around the school. You could try playing 'I Spy' together during the holidays!
Mr Gumpy's Outing (March 2019)
In our Talk4writing book ‘Mr Gumpy’s Outing’ the children were
introduced to new vocabulary from the story, labelled the characters and
practised sequencing and retelling the story. Next week we’ll visit a local
river to look for other boats like Mr Gumpy’s!

Pancakes!
F3 have been cooking up a storm, making pancakes using Mr. Wolf’s recipe! “What’s the time, Mr. Wolf? It’s pancake time!”
Lost and Found by Oliver Jeffers
We have also enjoyed learning about the friendship between a boy and a penguin in “Lost and Found” by Oliver Jeffers. We will learn more about their growing friendship next week in the story “Up and Down”.
